This is the proceeding immediately after arrest. A judge will review the facts and determine if there is probable case and set a reasonable bond.
After your First Appearance and if the State files formal charges an arraignment will be scheduled. Arraignment is not a trial and not a time when evidence can be presented. During this proceeding, charges are read and you will most likely want to enter a Plea Of Not Guilty and set your case for the next appropriate court date. wer to this item.
This is the court date between arraignment and any motions/trial. You may enter a negotiated plea or continue to the next proper date.
